So one of my favorite things in the world is Martial Arts. Nothing in the world could be so simple yet complex, easy flowing, yet hard to accomplish, mystically viewed, yet very scientific to analyze. I believe that through martial arts one can achieve harmony with body, mind and spirit. That said I started my Martial arts journey around the age of 12-13. I started with a martial art called "Choi Kwang Do." I joined it with my dad and we went religiously, 3-4 times a week. This ritual would continue for another 3-4 years and during that time it was some of the toughest, yet satisfying physical struggles I had for being a teenage kid.
During this martial art training in my teen years, I would find that I was so tired I just didn't want to get in there for an hour to beat my self up. I did though, I would reluctantly get in there drip, sweat on the slick floor and kick/punch/block with the best of them. The difference it would make from my desire and willingness to work out started the trend for the rest of my life. I had the desire deep inside of me that struggled to get out to push me to be the better person I could be. Marital arts brought that out with every bruise from blocking and every bloody knuckle from punching wood boards. This desire dictates that I must workout no matter what I did in life, no matter how tired I was and I must do it barefoot... if not in place that requires shoes!
This is a Blog on my "Quest" to find out what it takes to be Human and improve everyday. While on my journey, the hope is to help others with the same type of desire. The focus of the improvement will be Health, Fitness, Personal Development and just being a great father and husband!

Preface continues...
This short story begins with a child growing up in a small town with nothing in it. The only facet to keep this boy entertained was an imagination that exploded every time he walked around looking to make something out of nothing. Legos were the choice of toy as one could imagine but, video games were ever so distracting from the ingenuity of making space and pirate ships side by side. Quite a bit will happen to this child in time but neither he nor his parents will ever know the outcome of such a human experience. As far as the small town was concerned there wasn't much to this boy as with anything else however, each impressionable moment will bend this child to meet such triumphs and tragedies that every human on earth must experience before they breathe their last breath.

Preface
Here is my first Blog, just hanging around. I wanted to begin by saying this is the start of my personal development journey along with trying to reach and help people as much as I possibly can. I wanted to begin with a short story where the main character is a guy by the name of Jeremy Gossett...
